Living in Their Own Public Idaho

Timothy H. Sexton
4.9/5 (12179 ratings)
Description:It has already been established that this novel was inspired by a true story. A story that has been told in books, in documentaries, and even in a multi-part limited series on a major streaming service. Look it up if you want to avoid any surprises. It should not be difficult to figure out. Openly admitting to writing a story based on events that actually happened and are known to millions in a litigious age such as that in which the story takes place may be an example of stupidity itself. Nevertheless, the story will be told but not as a piecemeal puzzle comprised of all the known parts. The fact that two major characters share the same first name should be a major clue as to which true story this fictional version is going to retell. The thing of it was is that Jerry Tedesco wasn’t even good-looking. Jerry Tedesco was thirty-something when the mechanics of this story were put into place. His features were the essence of non-descript. Not handsome, as already mentioned, but also not pug-ugly, pugly or even fugly. Tedesco was not a lumbering, slack-jawed troglodyte. When Jerry Tedesco would take Jerica (and other children but they do not really count) on boating trips he would invariably at some point be tempted by some Loki-like jester god to remove his shirt. There is a somewhat famous photo snapped of thirty-something Jerry Tedesco and twelve-year-old Jerica Young on one of those many trips to the lake. He is wearing swimwear that stretches from his hips to mid-thigh. Although nothing is immediately obvious to suggest to what extent, the swimsuit fits snugly enough as the hem at the bottom end on the thigh. He is ankle-deep in the water and next to him is Jerica. Tedesco appears to be no more than a foot to a foot-and-a-half taller than twelve-year-old little Jerica. His biceps do not bulge. He certainly has no washboard abs though in his defense he is also not subject to being referred to as pudgy. In fact, he looks like he may well weigh not even fifty pounds more than the happy young girl smiling next to him.Jerry Tedesco RepliesOkay, friend, I was going to keep my tongue lashed to the inside of my mouth. Be a nice guy about it. Say nothing and just let it go. But I mean, come on, man! If you don’t mind my saying so you, my friend, seem to be a little obsessed with my looks. And just to set the record straight, at the time I posed for that studio image, dark shirts, wide white ties, and a herringbone sports coat was in style. Maybe not the ultimate in style. Certainly not in New York or Los Angeles. But in the simple western town where I am living, I was right that moment among the more fashionable small business owners in town.If you insist on making me the villain of this story and I am fine with that since it is the villain who is always far more interesting than the good guy, but if you do insist on doing that, sir, I must ask, with good Christian consideration of your feelings, a question that I think should be answered. Is my future villainy to be inextricably located within my external features? Is it simply that my face is goofy-looking and my choice of fashion is equally goofy that I am driven to whatever villainous actions and behavior you have in store for me?But then there are your insinuations regarding my relationship with my angelic little Jerica. I have read some of your other books, sir, and I think it is my duty to inform your readership—such as it is—that you, with all respect, have a dirty mind. Your stories seem to be problematically overpopulated with girls around the same age as Jerica who get into, well, let’s just say an unusually extreme sort of sexual awareness.I suggest you rethink your plans for this so-called fictional dip into the frigid waters of Lake Truestory. We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
