Relying upon this authority, the Damons of Scituate and of Reading, originally belonged to the same family before immigrating to America, although the Damon family of Scituate, came from the county of Kent, a d the other families came from Reading, England, and originally settled in Reading, Mass. Eaton in his history of Reading, says, that Thomas was perhaps a brother of John.
