Description:Bill Camborne is killing time in the bazaar in Zanzibar waiting for the boat that will take him to the port of Beira in Portuguese East Africa so that he can travel to his new job as a trader's assistant in Rhodesia. In the bazaar he inadvertently finds himself between a very large and angry white man who is beating up an older and much smaller Parsee merchant. After being knocked unconscious, Bill misses his boat but is able to catch up with it at the next port with the help of the merchant. On board he makes friends with Lathom, a prospector, and finds out that the very large, angry man in the bazaar was Mr. Gresson, his new boss.
