Is often limited.) The southern portion, draining into the St Lawrence Gulf, ' is part of the province of Quebec the western section, whose waters ﬂow to Hudson s Strait and Hudson's Ba is now the N. E. Territory of the Dominion of anada. (part of this region used to be called East Main.) Another derivation of the name than that given is, that L. Was so called by Portuguese explorers; Terra.
