Lettice Galbraith, the person, is somewhat of an enigma. Despite extensive research by some of the most eminent aficionados of the genre, no historical or biographical details of this mysterious writer have been found. However, in the Preface to this book, author Alastair Gunn shows that Galbraith's real name was "L.
