Description:Excerpt from General Index to the Transactions of the Pathological Society of London: For Vols. 26 to 37, 1875-86 In general, the plan of the Index is similar to that adopted in 1874, but certain minor changes have been introduced in the printing of the names and headings to facilitate reference to the volumes. The comparatively large size of the Index is owing to the fact that since the year 1879 the system of exhibiting speci mens by card has been adopted, which has largely increased the number of communications printed in the Transactions and also to the fact that the period included exceeds by two years that of the last Index. The inclusion of an Index to the illustrations in these volumes is a new feature, which will, it is believed, be of considerable service. The letters (s. R.) affixed to Vol. XXXIII refer to the supplementary reports appended to that volume in completion of cases previously recorded.
