Track Three

John H. Gibson
4.9/5 (29626 ratings)
Description:Douglas Wheeler was a high ranking NSA Systems Analysis of the highest order. After many years of service, his dream was to leave the NSA and write mystery novels. Because of all of the ultra-sensitive material he was privy to, the NSA would not allow him to leave. So Douglas, having been in on the ground floor of the PRISM Meta data collection implementation from its inception, stole many super-secret files and blackmailed the Agency into allowing him to leave. Douglas had traveled to England many times to consult with Britain’s GCHQ on the construction of the PRISM and other data collection systems from their inception, and when he won his freedom he immigrated to Britain to write his books. The NSA, along with other Security Agencies (because the information he stole was so sensitive, not only to the NSA but to the entire country), began a program of clandestine investigation and surveillance into Douglas and where he had stored his files so they could retrieve them and prosecute Douglas for his crime. They could not kill Douglas, because they feared he had a trigger on the information. If they killed him the trigger would release the info to news and other organizations around the world, much like Edward Snowden had done. As long as Douglas was alive, they could take their time with their investigation. When Douglas stole his information from the NSA, he not only stole files on average citizens, but files on some very prominent politicians, including the political interest in the story, Palmer Wils. And some of the information was personally damning in nature, some even highly criminal; information that a person running for national office could not allow to get out. And information that would thwart any donations from powerful Political Action Committees that funded national campaigns. Very powerful people wanted to fund Wils’ campaign, but had heard through their Security operatives secret grapevine that this info was out on Wils and they wanted it destroyed before they would back him. A few of theses very powerful men used their connections at the FBI to send a rogue team of FBI agents to locate, intercept and destroy the incriminating files before the official investigation could recover them. However, since the FBI only has National authority, not international authority, the rogue team manipulated our hero, an investigative reporter, Elliott Lawder, to go to England, under the guise of investigating a bogus drug ring, to see what he could dig up. Elliott moves from working with the rogue FBI team, to the team searching for him and wanting to get rid of him. He is on the run until he can figure out what is really going on. Of course, with the help of an African/English street person, our Heroine, Kate Lambert, an English orphan, (secretly born to two American parents: an African American female chemist that had immigrated to England and a white American business man [Douglas Wheeler]) Elliott solves the puzzle of the stolen data files, exposes the rogue FBI agents and lives happily ever after with the heroine. We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
