Unknown Author
4.9/5 (22270 ratings)
Description:Would it help to have some guidelines for living into our eighties? Or living to be 100? Perhaps it would. Maybe some of us would be interested. But virtually all of us would be interested if we knew that living to an older age also meant “living well.” We all want to live into our golden years free from disease, disability, and pain. We want to age gracefully. Above all else, we want to retain our vitality and clarity of mind as we become society’s elders. That’s how a new book can help. It’s called I’m 85, I Feel like I’m 55, and I’ll Live to 105. This book offers guidelines and encouragement for improving longevity. Written by octogenarian Frank Cunningham (and two chapters by Jerry Dorsman), the book offers hope for living into our senior years. At its heart, this is a self-help book, revealing key practices of the author and others that may contribute to maintaining peak vitality as we age. This book, I’m 85, I Feel like I’m 55, and I’ll Live to 105: Will You Join Me?, offers sound advice, powerful self-help techniques, and encouragement for making positive changes. The book presents a personal and friendly approach to the topic of healthy aging. On one level, this is a straightforward self-help book. But it has a unique flair as the author mixes in personal stories that are part memoir and part illustrative. These stories exemplify what works concerning healthy lifestyle. As its subtitle suggests, this book serves as an invitation to the reader to participate with the author on a personal quest to improve longevity. The book reveals how we can fashion our lives in such a way that we can live a little longer while feeling better along the way. For millions of us in today’s America, this book offers a promise. It offers hope for healthy longevity. More than just hope, this book provides techniques that we can use constructively in our daily lives. With the right techniques and the right perspective, each of us can succeed. Perhaps we too can live to 105. And enjoy ourselves along the way. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Francis Xavier Cunningham (“Frank”) was born in Brooklyn, New York, and is a graduate of Brooklyn College. He also holds an MBA in Finance from University of Delaware.
