Description:Ritara is a senior test pilot for InterSystem, manufacturer of interstellar transport ships. Her orbital transfer craft is sabotaged and in the resulting crash her passengers are killed and she is left critically injured. Desperate for medical treatment and reinstatement she is compelled to accept blame for the accident. Then she is forced to choose between a lingering death in an icy wasteland or accept a new life as a human clone and undertake a hazardous journey to the distant planet Earth. But the expedition is under the control of a psychopathic megalomaniac and when Ritara and her two companions discover his real intentions to Earth and its people they rebel against his authority. Realising their lives are now in jeopardy the three human clones attempt to escape, but only Ritara manages to land on Earth. Now she is alone on the planet and she is blackmailed into co-operating with her tormentor in order to prevent the further torture of her two friends. Facing the prospect of a slow death alone amongst the alien race as her cloned body deteriorates she is forced to confront another dilemma.
