How far I have succeeded, is known only to Him who has caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning. We are fallible: He only is infallible. After all, the important thing is, the practical lesson as respects our duty in the circumstances in which we are placed. Plainly it is that Of the Apostle under the Roman government eighteen hundred years ago: passive obedience to the powers that be, in all things; active obedience.
