The police again call on Andrew with more questions, and he reveals everything that he and Niki had discussed. Jakov is arrested the following day. Andrew tries to contact Niki and eventually lunches with her a day later. Over lunch, she becomes aware of all that he has told the police and she leaves the lunch angry and disappointed in Andrew and he does not hear from her again. He is deeply saddened but, his work done, he leaves Dubrovnik soon afterwards and returns to Australia.
