I don’t think he really knew at that time what he wanted out of life. He was restless. There were problems in my parents marriage. A marriage that may well have been made in heaven at first, but it very quickly hit the rocks. My dad was one of life’s losers and he didn’t seem to know how to change that. In the end it did change and so did my relationship with him.Son of my Father is a book about growing up and handling difficult times, but I like to think that it is more than that.
