His tale is accompanied by line drawings that vividly portray the art of making baskets, moccasins, bows and arrows, clothing, and other everyday articles. These illustrations were done by Don Perceval, a renowned artist and specialist on Indians. The late M. R. Harrington was for many years the curator of the Southwest Museum in Los Angeles.
